START TIMES: Beginning at 7:00 am (off #1 and #10 tees) and again at 11:45 am (off #1 and #10 tees) for Rounds 1 & 2. Round 3 will begin at 8:00 am off #1 tee.

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR DISTRICT QUALIFIERS: Beginning Monday, June 8, 2026 (9:00 am)
REGISTRATION DEADLINE (For Qualifiers): Monday, July 6th, 2026 (11:59 pm)
FORMAT: The RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial features 54 holes of scratch stroke play competition over three days. An official Practice Round will be scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 - players must indicate on their registration forms if they intend to play. The practice round will be a 1:00 pm shotgun start. Players will compete from the Stafford Men's Black Tees (6,612 yards) at par-72. Following the first two rounds of the Championship, the field will be cut to the low 40 players and ties. Ties for first will result in a sudden death playoff to determine the champion.
ABOUT: The premier Championship for Rochester-area amateurs is named in honor of the late John H. Ryan Jr., who grew up in the RDGA junior and amateur ranks, winning the District Junior Championship twice and back-to-back District Championships in 1981 and 1982 before losing his life to a boating accident in 1982. Now in it's 94th year, this year's District Champion will receive an invitation into the 2026 Monroe Invitational. All players who make the 36-hole cut will also be exempt from qualifying for the 2027 RDGA District Championship. Lunch will be provided to contestants on each day of the Championship.
PLEASE NOTE: Unless you are exempt from qualifying (CLICK HERE to see the list of 2026 RDGA Championship exemptions), you must first enter one of two District Championship Qualifiers before registering for the Championship. Click on the "Qualifiers" tab above for more information.
EXEMPT PLAYERS with invitations to register will have until Monday, June 1 at 1:00 pm to register - after which registration will be CLOSED. Registration will then re-open ONLY for players earning qualifying spots in either of the two District Championship Qualifiers, beginning on Monday, June 8 at 9:00 am.
